I have a three-tiered closet. No problem reaching the top level once you get the hang of it. It is long enough to reach the highest rung in our closet. Shipping was fast and it was easy to assemble. It seems like you may have to keep tightening it up where the pieces screw together. I will be buying one for my daughters as well as my sister. There are no telescoping parts or other weak joints. I like that there is a choice of 2 lengths. Helpful in the garage too.

It feels solid and I suspect it will last years.

This hose is lightweight and very easy to use. No more lugging around an unruly heavy hose that kinks all the time. The water pressure stream is not very strong due to the size of this hose, so if I need a stronger water pressure stream, I just hook up my old heavy hose.

Boat Plumbing By Don Casey Boat plumbing is a lot easier for the do-it yourselfer than plumbing at home, mainly because it doesn’t involve rigid pipes running inside solid walls. In fact, pipes are rarely used at all on boats, replaced by easier-to-handle flexible hose or tubing. Here is an overview of a typical on-board water system. Tanks Because water is heavy, tanks should be mounted low in the boat. Where space is available, it is a relatively simple matter to add extra tanks.

Rigid polyethylene tanks are available in hundreds of shapes and sizes, or you might use a flexible bladder tank–essentially a water bag. Threaded hose barbs allow for hose connections.

Back-to-back installations require that the pressure balancing cartiridge be “flipped” or rotated degrees in order for both units to function properly. There are two types of valves. We used redwood for the frames, which was protected with a water-based sealer prior to attaching the panels. A less expensive option is pressure-treated lumber. Panel options include clear, frosted, or colored fiberglass roofing, aluminum flashing, or colorful oil or acrylic cloth. Lay out and assemble the galvanized piping using nylon plumbing tape at each joint, but do not add the hose coupling at the end of the 8-inch bottom pipe yet.

This showers uses only cold-water lines from a garden hose and is not intended for long showers, so we have only built simple drainage. Water will flow into the gravel and soil underfoot, watering your plants while it cools you off. Slip the short leg of pipe through the hole, then center the pipe and faucet on the pole and secure it with C-shaped pipe hangers. Add the hose coupling and then hook it up to the garden hose to pressure-test for leaks.

Find a location for the shower. We placed it on a gravel pad to help drainage and also added concrete pavers to stand on. Dig a inch-deep hole for the center shower pole.

How to Install Shower Pipes Even if you prefer baths, a shower is a convenient addition to any bathroom. But adding a regular shower to an existing tub enclosure is a major undertaking. One easy solution is to install a special tub diverter spout that allows you to hook up a handheld shower to a bathtub faucet with only a minor plumbing change.

Once the spout is in place, you can choose from a wide variety of handheld showers, put up a shower curtain and enjoy the relaxing spray. Connect sewer hose to RV park sewer connection with a dip in the hose providing a sewer vapor block. See the illustrations above. Open both the black and gray water discharge valves. When putting solids into the toilet, flush and then fill the toilet bowl twice 2 times to the top with water and flush. The force of these 2 flushes will push all the solids out of the black water tank into the parks sewer line, stopping any vapors going up the tank vent.

As mentioned above, the toilet must be filled completely twice with water and flushed. Along with the weight and volume of water this action will push the solids and fumes out and down through the RV Parks sewer system. Depending on the make and model of your RV toilet, it may hold from 3 to 6 gallons of water when filled. This volume and weight along with the force of gravity is what cleans out your black water tank.

There are 3 primary ways you may use to fill your RV toilet bowl with water. Fill a bucket from your sink and pour the water into the bowl. This process is cumbersome and takes time to do. Depress the RV toilet flush pedal part way down until water enters the bowl and the toilet bottom opening has yet to open.

I also wear a neoprene hood. With no hair, I lose a ton of heat. I bought factory switches and switchplates from Bakes, so the switch panel has the correct look and labels. I installed a master shower switch in the dash and a slave switch in the trunk, using a bezel from Bakes to trim the cutout. This allows the shower pump to be operated by the skier on the platform and also controlled at the helm. I modified the shower temperature control to remove the surface mount tabs, drilled the valve stems through a trunk panel, and gave it a flush mount.

The heater is a 3 outlet with an additional Y for the vent hose to provide a 4th outlet. I also bought a special 3 way switch from Bakes for the heater. I have one vent at the driver’s feet, one extendible tube vent in the helm support column next to the driver’s footwell, one extendible tube beneath the observer’s seat, and one euro vent on the dash under the windshield.

In my Malibu, I was able to remove a cupholder and, with some shimming, install the euro vent without cutting the dash or remove the windshield. Another key component is the Y-pipe adapter to allow the heater to flow back through the raw water intake hose.
